Described as “one of BC's top authors and illustrators,”
Dianna Bonder has published eleven works for children, many of which have
received or been short-listed for multiple awards. A sought after public
speaker and advocate for literacy and the arts, she is a member of the Canadian
Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators and Performers (CANSCAIP);
the Children's Writers and Illustrators of British Columbia; and the Write-on
Speakers Bureau. In 2006 she was inducted as an Honorary Member of the Drawing
Masters of Canada. Currently she is CANSCAIP Writer-in-Residence.
Her most recent illustrated book is Pedro
the Pirate (Raven Tree, 2012). A, B,
Sea: A Deep Sea Symphony is forthcoming from Walrus Books in 2013. She
lives on Gabriola Island, BC.
